What’s the best red wine to get for our anniversary?
My boyfriend likes red wine a lot, especially the sauvignon, merlot and shiraz. So I was thinking to get him a bottle of red wine in a vintage wooden box on our anniversary. I have some options of red wines, but i need a help on your opinion which would be the best wine from all of these. If you have any recommendations on other wines, please let me know. Thank you guys. your help will be very much appreciated. xx
- Casillero del Diablo Reserva Merlot 2008 (Chilean wine)
- Trumpeter Malbec 2006 (Argentina)
- Chateau le Bouscat 2004 (Cotes de Bordeaux, France)
- Jacob’s Creek merlot 2008
- Salisbury Cabernet Shiraz
He doesn’t like wine that tastes too sweet..
The wines you have picked are reasonable mid range- the Bouscat would be the best if it were 2005. the 2004 was not a very good one- late and had problems.
Is it a one year anniversary or something that could be tied in?
I would suggest a vintage Rioja- try to get the 2001, if not the 2003 or 2004. If he likes red wine he will love it.
