French superstar Thierry Henry has just joined the NY Red Bulls on a free transfer from Barcelona. He has completed a multi million a year deal which is confirmed on the MLS website.
Henry will make his debut for the New York Red Bulls against Tottenham Hotspurs on the 22nd of July. Henry is very keen on winning NY Red Bulls it’s first club championship.
Thierry Henry isn’t the same player he use to be while he was playing for Arsenal and he has been disappointing for Barcelona and for France at the moment. He was on the bench for Barcelona most of last season and he hardly played for France in this year’s World Cup.
Henry is a world class player and will without a doubt improve the NY Red Bulls team. He is Arsenal’s all time top goal scorer with 226 goals from 1997 to 2007. He has just been playing for Barcelona the past 3 seasons. The first two seasons he had there were very successful, but last season at Barcelona was very disappointing and Henry was expected to leave.
Henry is now famously remembered for his handball against Ireland in a World Cup qualifying playoff.
All in all Henry has had good career. He has scored 51 goals for France and he has won the English FA Premier league twice, the FA Cup 3 times, the World Cup and 2 La Liga’s just to name a few of his honours.
